from drab to fab

We are so excited because, drumroll please…. our new offices are finally complete!  Kate and I worked together to create a space that was certainly not the same old boring brown leather, mahogany wood space. Instead, we aimed for light, bright and creative. Yep, the same vibe that we like in our homes. 

The anchor for the space is our black and brass globe chandeliers which are making a huge interior design comeback.  We absolutely love that it takes your eye straight up since we painted the ceiling a faint salmon color. You see, when we’re not working on Sisi Dira, we’re creating commercials and marketing content for national brands. We do that work under our company, KR Squared Productions, which has a black and bold salmon colored logo. The actual color was waaayyy too bold for the ceiling so we toned it down a few shades till we found the perfect color.

And speaking of color… the space was originally painted a two--tone forest green. It felt like a law office, not a creative space for ladies to work. When we lightened the walls to white, it made the molding detail really pop! Some of the other elements that we love are our houndstooth chairs, which are perfect to cuddle up on to write or return emails, and of course, our featured art wall. 

We sent some of our favorite images from past client shoots to a printer keeping in mind the office color palette. They created 6 photo boards for only $214.20 including tax and shipping. And of course for those who read our “Classic Valentines Decor” post, we moved the candy jars right into the middle of our work space because jellybeans are the ultimate pick-me-up during the midday slump.  

Now that we are settled and absolutely LOVE our interior space, we’re looking forward to growing our awesome Sisi Dira community. Cheers to the future!
