where did i put my keys?

Ladies, what’s the one thing you need by your bedside? I asked some friends, and they chimed in with items like eyeglasses,  remote controls, phone chargers, and of course books. All are awesome answers but no one said my one MUST have… a trinket dish! Why? I like to take my jewelry off right before I go to sleep so it’s my go-to holder for earrings and of course my wedding ring. As for my husband… he keeps pocket change, his eyeglass cloth, keys, and sunglasses in his. (FYI… I’m sitting in bed and looking over at his dish to see what’s in there).

The thing about trinket dishes is that it’s a great way to hold items that easily get lost in the hustle and bustle of life. After all, I guarantee that most of us have experienced the “where did I put my keys” moment. Plus, trinket dishes can be cute and cohesive to your interior design. I’m a huge blue and white fan so I found an antique bowl for my husband’s bedside, and as for me, I found a set of four soy sauce dipping bowls that I change out when the spirit moves me.

And yes, trinket dishes don’t have to be the expected.  Think… votive candle holders, salt and pepper bowls, tea bag holders, and of course my go to-- soy sauce dipping bowls. In fact, I think the unexpected is what makes a statement. Since I’m all about keeping things simple, look in your cabinets and see if you have an unused item that can serve as a trinket dish. There are no rules, only storage solutions. However, if you don’t find what you’re looking for, I’ve included some fun and inexpensive trinket dish ideas below. So… trinket away!
