simple & clean skincare

Hey guys, Brittaney here. Kate and Katy introduced me a few weeks ago. I’m an esthetician, mama, sometimes DIYer, and… I’m thrilled to be a part of the Sisi Dira sisterhood!

I’m taking the reins on the topic of skincare because my philosophy fits right into the Sisi Dira mantra “Simple is Better!” As the owner of Face & Soul Studio, I’ve found that extensive skincare routines provide results. However, If you can’t maintain it day in and day out it’s not beneficial. Yes, consistency is key.

In fact, when I talk to my clients about their routine, we discuss their stressors, nutrition, and daily schedule because I want to find a way to make their skincare easy to maintain.

So with that in mind, let’s keep it simple and holistic. I suggest three easy steps that will keep your skin clean, calm, and moisturized. And let me emphasize CLEAN. I believe the products you use on your skin should be organic, non toxic, no artificial coloring, and no parabens… pretty much free of any chemicals that cause inflammation. After all, your skin is your largest organ which means we need to be thoughtful about what we put on it.

So here you go. These three easy steps with three awesome products is a great place to start. Seriously… if I was deserted on an island and I had these products, I’d be a-okay!

  1. rowsie vain - tight and bright cleanser

Always start with a good cleanse to not only remove makeup etc. but also the toxins. My favorite is Rowsie Vain - Tight and Bright Cleanser. Seriously… it’s great for a multitude of skin types and my current favorite.

2. face and soul rose water

Next… toner. I suggest Face and Soul Rose Water. Yes, this is my own product. So here’s the story. I strongly believe in rose water toners because they calm the skin, provides antioxidants and helps with redness and inflammation. During the pandemic, I couldn’t get my hands on any. So… I formulated my own (rose water and aloe), which is now the flagship product for my skin line.

3. laurel recovery balm

And...moisturize! I love Laurel Recovery Balm. Ask Kate, and she’ll tell you it’s legit. Laurel is super hydrating and absorbs beautifully into the skin.

*Side Bar - if I was deserted on an island I would actually need four skincare products.

4. suntegrity “5-in-1”

I forgot to mention a HUGE very, very, very, important item- Suntegrity “5-in-1” Natural Moisturizing face Sunscreen - tinted. This sunscreen is magical because it provides soooo much - primer, moisture, hyaluronic acid, tint, and of course, protection from the sun.
